[Editor’s Note: This is the fifth of what will ultimately become a six-part post that is intended to answer the question “What the hell happened in the Philippines?” with three additional posts devoted to an investigation of 'The Troll'. These posts can also be found on my Facebook page, and it is recommended that they be read in sequence. Post #6 will follow the court’s verdict on the case in April 2020.]
The priest’s salvo of more than twenty hearings was scheduled to wrap-up in February, but Preda Foundation’s paid prosecutor Joy Navarro once again resorted to delaying tactics to keep the money-train running and prevent defense witnesses from testifying.
No stranger to courtroom drama, Assistant Prosecutor Navarro’s repeated “my kid is sick” ploy had by this time become so shamelessly over-the-top that the court was forced to declare that henceforth “no motions for postponement that are dilatory in character shall be entertained” and observers to wonder whether using your kid to avoid performing your sworn duty constitutes child endangerment.
“Leave me out of this!”

On the bright side, we are fortunate to have the highly esteemed ‘Judge Angie’ on the bench because, while my case has been archived and is sitting in a cardboard box in a Depository of Unsuccessful Scams somewhere, the aforementioned girlfriend has been in jail since July 2019, missing nearly a year of her daughter’s childhood so that ‘Father’ Shay Cullen can line his pockets with government handouts.
Then too there is the possibility that the priest will die of old age before this long-drawn-out con pays off. In the meantime, however, as we await the judgment of the already overburdened Philippine courts, which have been closed since March 23, I will join the chorus of countless Cullen casualties in shouting “Me Too!”.
“Get up, go to the great city of Nineveh, and preach against it, because I see the evil things they do.” – Jonah 1:2
